The Doors frontman’s vocal contribution is believed to be one of the last unreleased, never-before-heard recordings from the seminal band.
Having been granted permission by The Doors, the song (of which a snippet can be heard by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page) was presented to Global Cool to be used as the 10-year initiative’s inspirational anthem.

“When you hear it, it sounds as though Jim Morrison were watching us and commenting on the world today,” said Farrell of the lyrics that tell of a majestic yet troubled Earth from the vantage point of an angel.
At the L.A. leg of the launch, lifelong environmental activist Farrell was joined on stage by The Doors’ drummer John Densmore (pictured above left), president of the Environmental Media Association Debbie Levin and Global Cool CEO Julian Knight.
