With ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ cleaning up at this year’s Oscars, the environment has never been such a hot topic for filmmakers – and never one to miss a trend, Global Cool has joined forces with innovative new film initiative, Scenewon, which is offering 10 talented eco-auteurs the chance of winning a share of the £10,000 prize fund.
To stand a chance of winning the big five-figure prize all you need to do is prepare a sub-five minute short film, relating to the theme of climate change.
Be it live action, animation or an all-new format never before seen, SceneWon wants your original clips that will be screened online and presented for a public vote.
Registered visitors to Scenewon’s site will also be able to flex their critical muscles by submitting reviews, of which the best will win £500.
Although the competition doesn’t launch until Monday 2nd April 2007, Scenewon is already asking filmmakers to register on www.scenewon.com, where you can read the simple technical checklist and upload your work.
Get filming and good luck.
