Did you know that 90% of an average festival’s CO2 emissions are generated by fans’ travel alone. Startling eh… But now an innovate ticket agency is looking to address the balance by donating 10% of its booking fees to Global Cool.
The all-new Gigantic ticket agency is looking to Global Cool to invest on their behalf in energy reduction projects and high quality alternative energy technologies.
“We want to give consumers a genuine alternative when they book tickets,” said Gigantic co-founder Mark Gasson. “Gigantic gives people the chance to personally make a difference every time they book, while we realise our own aims of giving something back.”
Gigantic eventually hope to roll out a facility that will allow visitors to track their own carbon footprints, make pledges to reduce their energy use and offset the unavoidable remaining carbon emissions generated when attending a particular event.
