London Calling for Razorlight

Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell was treated to a day out in London recently, courtesy of Friends of the Earth.

To ensure he didn’t Stumble and Fall, Borrell took in the sights of London town from the comfy seat of Transport for London’s first hybrid bus, a tasty red number that’s up to 40% more efficient than its diesel counterparts.

The scruffy-haired fashionista then test-drove the new Vectrix electric scooter, which boasts a top speed of 62 mph and a zero carbon tyre-print.

The unlikely pin-up has apparently been Up All Night recently worrying about climate change, and has joined forces with Friends of the Earth and its ‘Big Ask’ campaign to put pressure on the British Government to take a tough stance.

“Working with Friends of the Earth on ‘The Big Ask’ climate campaign has made me realise that climate change is a problem we can solve,” said Borrell, who’s own lifestyle is known to be more switch-off-a-light than Razorlight. “The solutions to climate change exist – from solar power to electric bikes and locally sourced food – we just aren’t making the most out of them. A strong law will make sure the Government does all it can to help these solutions flourish.”

Borrell has just penned a new song for Friends of the Earth. Funeral Blues, which is available for free download on the FOE website, was recorded at Studio A in London’s east end – the UK’s only solar-powered recording studio, which is believed to be a perfect place to add that Golden Touch to a recording.
