Archbishop Desmond Tutu recently took time out from his busy schedule to record a message of support for Global Cool.
In the filmed statement the South African Anglican cleric, whose tireless campaigning against apartheid saw him honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984, said he was happy to lend his name to the campaign because: “[Global Cool] unites people of all religions, races, ages and nationalities in one cause, to stop global warming.”
The former Archbishop of Cape Town went on to add that the power to solve global warming lies within “the heart and the actions of the individual and begins very much at home.”

I am happy to give my name to a campaign like Global Cool because it unites people of all religions, races, ages and nationalities in one cause, to stop global warming and give our children, and our children’s children, the chance to enjoy life and be safe in this wonderful world.
Like many big problems facing the world today, the power to solve global warming lies within the heart and the actions of the individual and begins very much at home. However, the consequences of doing nothing are far reaching and will affect everyone from Africa, to the United Kingdom, to America and beyond. And global warming is not something that is going to happen in the future. It is already happening now. We are seeing floods in Kenya, in Mozambique and devastating droughts – all the result of climate change.
We can do something to halt the dangerous changes that come with climate change. So please be one in a billion. Sign up to My CO2 on the Global Cool website today and do your bit to save the planet. God bless you.
