We’re always on the look out for the good, the bad and the ugly in celebsville. But unlike most of the celebrity rags, we’re more concerned with who’s using their canvas bag at the supermarket than who’s been spending a little bit too much quality time with the botox needle. And what better way to put them to rights than by playing our favourite TV show, Snog Marry Avoid…
Snog
Nearly every week a celebrity and their ride make it onto our shortlist. Whether it’s because they love the Eurostar or their big bad cars, it’s a huge part of their image. After Kylie hotted up the new Lexus Hybrid last week, we’re happy to tell you that Tom Cruise is now taking the Hybrid to the big screen. BMW’s i8 plug-in Hybrid is the sports car of choice for fast and furious character Ethan Hunt in the latest Mission Impossible film: The Ghost Protocol. It’ll cost you over $160 000 to role play but it’s a lot cheaper than your average sports car and has a 328 horsepower diesel-electric drivetrain that goes from 0-60mph in 5 seconds (ooo-er), as well as a fuel efficiency of 62.5 mpg! If you’re like us and don’t have a clue as to what that all meant, just know this: it’ll definitely help you pull!
Marry
Jason Mraz is well-known for his green ways and because warmer weather has finally hit it’s time to big him up one more time. If his warbling doesn’t hit all the right spots, then maybe his way of life will make you think twice. Unlike Hayden Christensen and his mammoth 200 acres of farm land put to use by only two pot-bellied pigs, Mraz makes the most of his meagre five acres in San Diego, CA, by growing avocados. And the whole farm is powered by solar panels. Pretty good eh? He definitely waves the flag for the ‘grow-your-own’ culture, so why not follow suit and get planting some lettuce and tomatoes to get you through summer.
Avoid
Poor Britney. She’s had a tough time of it hasn’t she? We don’t want to Hold It Against her but she’s not making things any better by having an entourage reportedly worth $17,000 following her around and a Starbucks in her hand every hour of the day. Our wise words of advice? We wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if you learnt to do your own make up, hair or styling, and it would save taking at least one more person around the country with you in private jets. When it comes to wasting cash and plastic, why not just carry around your own tea bags and a thermos travel mug – 10p for hot water and you can reuse the mug all day long! Who said Britney couldn’t be saved?!
