Arnold Schwarzenegger has been on our eco-radar for a while now but last weekend he reached new levels of coolness. Firstly, he’s 65 years old and he’s on Instagram (very hip). And secondly he’s posting Instagram shots of himself on a Boris Bike on his latest trip to London for the Olympic Games! For now the Boris Bikes of London are going to have to make do with much less famous bums than Arnie’s as he’s jetted off home, but we’re such he’ll be back!

Eco-musician Ben Taylor wrote a guest post recently for Traveling Greener about recycling on tour. In the post he explores the problems and excuses that surround littering on tour. The Travelin’ Man singer said:

“Conservation is extremely important… As musicians we can and should be able to look behind us and witness the subtle change our music has conjured. Perhaps we could afford ourselves a little more of the artistic pride, which seems to come so naturally, if the trails we blazed were not so littered with unnecessary debris.”

Maybe it’s his eco-hero credentials that help him morph into naked female models occasionally. Don’t believe us? Check out this video…

And finally Rio Ferdinand has been making a bit of a tit of himself on Twitter recently. The Man U player tweeted last week about his reservations about flying. Rio said:

@rioferdy5: Flying home to Manchester from Aberdeen….in the FOG! Come on Mr Pilot! See you on the other side world!!

Firstly, if he’s so concerned about the fog in the sky, maybe a nice safe train would suit him better. And secondly, Manchester to Aberdeen on the train takes around 6 hours – hardly the other side of the world eh Rio? It would seem the footballer realised the error of his ways, as he deleted the tweet shortly after. Let’s hope he doesn’t carry this sort of silliness onto the field for the Premier League!
