Because living like a celebrity doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

We’ve always known Gwyneth Paltrow had a big heart after she sold lemonade with her kids to raise money for the RSPCA. And now the gorgeous blonde has done another solid for ainmals with her new cookbook. Paltrow’s book called It’s All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great, offers yummy recipes for all you healthy eaters out there. It’s not completely vegetarian but with mainly veg options, Chris Martin’s missus will certainly have a positive impact on Mother Earth.

Ian Somerhalder just can’t seem to get out of our good books these days. In the past the Vampire Diaries hunk has been awarded Most Responsible Celebrity at the International Green Awards, used Twitter to save animals, consistently supported sustainable energy projects like wind, solar and biofuel.
He even owns his own foundation – aptly named the Ian Somehalder Foundation - devoted to making the planet a better place. And now Somerhalder is raising money for his faoundation by launching a competition. Through CrowdRise, Somerhalder is giving the public a chance to win his very own copy of Fifty Shades of Grey (often dubbed “mummy porn”) along with a personal note tucked into his favourite section of the book. What we wouldn’t give to get our hands on that…

Simon Cowell has never been well-known for his thrifty ways, and his latest spending revelations are therefore no surprise. Each year the X Factor mogul escapes to St Barts and sources have now revealed that it costs him £270,000 a week! The super yacht is 196ft which sleeps 12, is moored just 200 yards off shore and is (in our humble opinion) a complete waste of money. Most of us little people couldn’t even afford a house for the same amount he spends for a week’s holiday! We think Si needs a sharp, swift bump back to Earth and a serious reality check.
Here comes the science bit…
GC articles show you a few ways (the ones in bold) to live greener…
/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/ Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
