Maroon 5 are the gorgeous Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, Matt Flynn and James Valentine. They sing indie pop songs and have lots of tattoos.

Their first album Songs About Jane is actually a bunch of songs about lead singer Levine’s ex-girlfriend Jane. Lucky girl.
So, they’re cool guys, but why are they Global Cool guys?
The handsome band are encouraging fans to be more green. They are the founding members of the Green Music Group, which promotes eco-friendly choices. They are also asking fans to sign up for an e-mail list, support a campaign, or volunteer for any green group, then snap a picture of themselves and send it in. The best (and greenest) photograph will get a Martin Sustainable Wood Series acoustic guitar.
