Reasons to snog, marry and avoid Ricky Gervais, Denise Richards and the London 2012 Olympics

on in Entertainment

We’re always on the look out for the good, the bad and the ugly in celebsville. But unlike most of the celebrity rags, we’re more concerned with who’s using their canvas bag at the supermarket than who’s been spending a little bit too much quality time with the botox needle. And what better way to put them to rights than by playing our favourite TV show, Snog Marry Avoid

Ricky Gervais and Denise Richards

Snog
Our favourite funny-man Ricky Gervais is using his uncensored voice and big opinions to fight for animals. The Office star recently tweeted:

“Please don’t buy fur. And let anyone who does know they’re supporting the disgusting c*** who torture beautiful helpless creatures to death.”

They’re some pretty strong but appropriate words, and for once we don’t think anyone would disagree with him.

Marry
While you’ve all been making resolutions to eat better/quit smoking/be amazing (delete as appropriate), Denise Richards has been looking outside the box. The Love Actually star has chosen to give up plastic instead of chocolate in 2012. She wrote on her blog:

“It’s a great time to start thinking about those resolutions. But instead of just sticking to the usual goals of dropping a few pounds or hitting the gym, why not take one simple step that will help the environment, the health of your family and your pocketbook all at once? I recently made the commitment to get rid of bottled water in my home for all of those reasons.”

And there we were thinking she was just a big pair of boobs!

OlympicsAvoid
After all this talk of the greenest games in history, we’re very disappointed with the latest Olympic developments. BMW is set to ship 4,000 brand new cars into the country to cart London’s VIPs around town. If you parked all these ridiculous vehicles end to end you’d have a ten mile traffic jam on your hands. We have a better idea – there are these big red things in London with lots of seats that even have their own lanes – they’re called buses. Use them.
