Reasons to snog, marry and avoid Geordie Shore, Robert Redford and Victoria Beckham

Because living like a celebrity doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

Geordie Shore and Victoria Beckham

Snog
We don’t usually have a lot of praise for the Geordie Shore, but last week they certainly made us stand up and take notice. The party-hard cast set up a pop-up beach in the middle of Liverpool Street Station to brighten up commuters’ mornings. They even got on the tube and posed in next to nothing.

One commuter said: “I couldn’t believe it when I walked into the station and saw the cast on the beach. It was like a mirage! It definitely brightened up my day and was a talking point when I got into the office.”

It’s great to see Geordie Shore doing it in public… now if we could only get them to stop using so much fake tan…

Robert RedfordMarry
Robert Redford has got our hearts all a flutter in his latest article for the Huffington Post. The self-confessed environmental activist challenged the public handouts to oil, gas and coal companies. He said:

“In a time of economic hardship…using taxpayer money to help oil, gas and mining companies represent a reckless and irrational use of taxpayer money and government investment. We can do better.”

So in the famous words of The Sundance Kid… “Don’t you get sick of being right all the time?”

Avoid
Victoria Beckham has found herself in our bad books this week after her 24 hour turn around in London. Posh Spice was in the UK for the Spice Girls reunion to launch the new musical Viva Forever. But just as soon as she had cosyed up to her old bandmates she was already back on a plane home. Becks’ missus was papped flying into Los Angeles airport, just a few hours after Posh, Ginger, Baby, Sporty and Scary had been reunited once more. Just a tad wasteful if you ask us… tsk tsk!

All Global Cool articles highlight a few ways (the ones in bold below) to start living greener. Click the links to find out more…

1. Be a winner, not a binner (aka recycling and reusing stuff)
2. Turn up the style, not the heat (aka not charging electrical devices 24/7)
3. Love the trend, not the spend (aka buying stuff that doesn’t harm the planet)
4. Do it in public (aka ditching the car and plane when you can)
