Because seeing the best movies doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

Starring Bruce Willis, Ed Norton, Tilda Swinton and Bill Murray.
Renowned for his kooky style and stunning visuals, Wes Anderson’s projects are few and far between but always a hit. Moonrise Kingdom is no exception so get yourself down to the cinema (and make sure you’re hopping on the bus rather than taking the car)!
The pre-pubescent star crossed lovers Suzy and Sam meet during a church performance. Both have the symptoms of a problem child, both are misfits, both are mercifully ridiculed by their peers and both dream of adventure away from their everyday world and a system that doesn’t understand them.
Together they embark on a mission to nowhere, to explore the landscapes, and just be happy together. However, due to them both being of a pre-school age the authorities are soon onto them. In a wild, cat and mouse finale this love story will have you on the edge of your seat. The interjects of comedy allude to and compliment the ridiculous nature of the film yet don’t undermine its integrity and poignancy.
An all star cast offer up new character roles for some of the type casts we know and love making for a hilarious and entertaining change. For example Edward Norton, usually the epitome of cool, plays a try-hard scout leader. And Bruce Willis plays a rather sad and lonely small-town cop rather than a bad-ass one.
Moonrise Kingdom is a charming little film with a soundtrack that is second to none. It will keep you interested throughout and it provides a refreshing change to the love stories we usually see. Perhaps the use of children gives us that naivety that makes love believable and overcomes the adult cynicism we have with other love stories. Needless to say, this film is the start of two very talented careers…
Here comes the science bit…
All Global Cool articles highlight one of four ways (the one in bold below) to start living greener. Click the links to find out more…
1. Be a winner, not a binner (aka recycling and reusing stuff)
2. Turn up the style, not the heat (aka not leaving your lights on 24/7)
3. Love the trend, not the spend (aka buying stuff that doesn’t harm the planet)
4. Do it in public (aka ditching the car and plane when you can)
