MUSIC RADAR: Hopping on the bus with Lucy Rose and Bonobo

Because staying on top of the music world doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

Lucy Rose and Bonobo

Need a pick-me-up on the bus to the office? Or looking for that perfect Friday-feeling tune for the train journey home? Look no further! Each fortnight we’ll bring you our Music Radar top track, complete with a Spotify playlist, so you can plug in and get your toes tapping on public transport

There’s no denying it, we’ve got the post-Glastonbury blues. We had a fantastic week rubbing shoulders with some of our favourite faces in the music world but now it’s back to the daily grind work. In honour of such a great fesitval we’ve picked two of our Glasto highlights for this fortnight’s Music Radar

We first came across Lucy Rose at a tiny acoustic gig at Union Chapel in London many moons ago. And every time she releases something new, we remember why we fell in love with her the first time. Her voice and demeanor on stage manage to be both effortessly soothing and incredibly breath-taking at the same time. And at Glasto she did not disappoint.

Here she is singing Shiver, one of our favourite songs…

Next up is Bonobo (or Simon Green as he’s known to his pals) a British musician, producer and DJ. If you were in the crowd at Glastonbury, we know you’ll enjoy this. And even if you weren’t, here’s Cirrus to make you feel like you were there…

And don’t forget to check out Global Cool’s Music Radar Spotify playlist to keep up to date with the hottest new music when you’re on the bus/train/tube to work….

frankensteinHere comes the science bit…

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…
/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/ Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
