Because bad TV shouldn’t cost the Earth…

Strictly Come Dancing has literally whipped The X Factor‘s ass in its first Saturday night ratings war last weekend!

The popular dance show is brimming with uber hot celebs this year including golden girl Victoria Pendleton, Kimberley Walsh of Girls Aloud, a super svelte Denise Van Outen and the timelessly beautiful Jerry Hall.

Perhaps that’s why the BBC show peaked at 9.8million viewers – a whopping 300,000 more than the number of people tuning into the X Factor. We’ve also heard viewers are disgruntled with the new “staged” sections of The X Factor and the fact producers have cut back actual singing air time for boring back stories.

Or maybe people were just trying to avoid the orange glow of Tulisa’s hair burning their eyes. Either way it’s good to see Britain cheering for one of their Olympic heroes again – it makes us feel all warm and golden inside…
