Hello, Bonjour, Hallo, Ola, and other such hellos’ in different languages!

I’m having an enormous can of beer on the train with Liz! I was just playing guitar in between carriages working on a new riff when I met a lovely fellow called Jamie who comes from Paris who was in Lausanne performing a play. We sat and sang together, improvising and having a great laugh.

I’m glad I didn’t bring my kilo of heroin over the border from Switzerland to Paris as there were drug police and sniffer dogs patrolling through the train with their unnecessary guns and bad moods…. We arrived with two guitars so they obviously thought “musicians = drugs” so they kind of picked us out! Ah well, they have a job to do as well so fair play, I just can’t stand the fact that they have guns ‘cos it makes me feel no more protected – If anything – the opposite.

Traveling from Switzerland to Paris cost us €23……whoop!!

Now I’m going to purchase another beer, relax, perhaps play a little more guitar, and set myself up for a lovely and cultural day in Paris!

Yesterday in Lausanne, we stumbled upon the exquisite ‘Le Cite’ cathedral where an orchestra and choir were practicing for their grand show of Brahms and other wonderful composers the following day. What a trip! Sitting, watching such an ensemble practice was truly an aural and visual treat I’ll never forget. And we found it by accident – I love when things like that happen!

Another inspiring Rod Y Gab show yesterday – my favourite one yet – I’ve been working on my own guitar skills and have found them come along ten fold. Whoop!

So, Au revoir mon aime, Mo Chara, My Friends (Forgive the spelling mistakes!)

A verrrrry happy and relaxed wallis x x x
