Thank you Europe!
What a lovely tour I had around Europe, seeing all the vast countryside has to offer me. It really (pardon the ‘almost’ pun) flew by! With only a few dates left with Rodrigo y Gabriela, I’m most definitely sad that myself and Liz are soon to be finishing our train tour.
We decided that it’s truly the best way to travel. Right now I write to you from another train in Milan! All in all, it was by far the most carefree, relaxing and cheap way to get around. I’m actually still in a little bit of a blur about the whole thing as we seem to be constantly on the go. But after such a luxurious journey, I’ve decided to incorporate train travel into my future personal holidays.
I managed to have a few jams in between cities, finding that there is definitely a bohemian attitude to the carriages shuttling by. People feel relaxed enough to encourage friendly chat and interaction, so I felt right at home with all the other travelers. Also, to our surprise, we shared a few trains with Rodrigo y Gabriela on the European tour, proving that there is definitely no more efficient mode of transport available to the European traveler.
I suppose I’m preaching. I don’t mean to, but it was a glorious journey to travel by train.
Bon Voyage
