We adore Colin Firth, but since 2009 we’ve had our eye on his missus Livia Firth. Along with her friend Lucy Siegle, Livia has been working towards bringing sustainable style to A-List celebrities on the red carpet. Cleverly dubbed the Green Carpet Challenge, Livia’s project means we’re seeing countless celebs getting involved in an ongoing ethical fashion initiative.
This year alone we’ve seen Meryl Streep in stunning eco-friendly Lanvin and Cameron Diaz in a dazzling Stella McCartney organic silk number. Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge has also brought ethical designs from big names like Chanel, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Armani. We love seeing such a shift in sustainable style, and it’s great that so many famous faces have jumped on board too.
Check out our gallery below featuring Amy Smart, Lily Cole, Carey Mulligan, Helena Boham Carter and more. We’ve even chucked in a few pictures of Livia in some of our favourite eco-outfits.
