GET THE LOOK: How to pull yourself out of a style rut like Kate Middleton

Because looking like a princess doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge is one stylish lady. She’s famous for her loose flowing locks, designer garb and those nude shoes that always seem to be on her feet. We’ve showed you how to dress like her and even how to get hair like Kate Middleton. There are so many people trying to copy her style, but sometimes when a certain look is working for you it’s easy to get stuck in a style rut.

It was great to see Prince William’s missus shake up her look in this pretty, fitted dress, a new side-chignon up-do and (shock horror) a brand new pair of shoes. We’ve found some eco alternatives so you can get Kate Middleton‘s look…

Dress like Kate Middleton

Copy Kate’s dove grey pencil dress with this Komodo Pepi Dress from Fashion Conscience (above left) made from a mix of organixc cotton and hemp.  This lovely and flattering fair trade dress has a classic shape with nipped in waist and pleats at neckline. Dress up with heels like Kate or add a blazer or cardigan and wear it to the office. It’s also half price in the sale so you don’t need to feel guilty about spoiling yourself.

Kate has ditched the nude court shoes and chosen the summer’s hottest colour for your feet: cream. Slip into these Melissa Patuchuli Wedges from Fashion Conscience (pictured above) and instantly feel like a princess. These pretty vegan wedges will give your outfit a retro vibe without looking too clunky.  They also happen to be in the sale too for a discounted price so grab them before they’re gone.

Give your hair that Kate Middleton shine with Make It Pretty Smoothing Serum. It offers amazingly smooth control and shine without leaving your hair greasy. This product not only protects your hair from damage, but shortens blow-drying time and controls frizz too. So go ahead and Make It Pretty!

And here’s a video to help you perfect that bun at home…
