It’s not all blue boxes and hessian bags, you know. Recycling is as chic as it gets. That much is proven this week by none other than national treasure Kate Moss, as she models a new strapless dress by designer William Tempest.
With a figure-hugging contour and bold geometric construction, the one-piece is being given the full Moss treatment, being taken through its paces in a variety of sultry poses for a new campaign.
The twist is – the dress itself is recycled. Not only that, it’s recycled from old mosquito nets! The superstar supermodel was getting involved in a malaria awareness campaign on behalf of Sport Relief, showing off the ensemble before it’s auctioned off for charity.
London-based designer Tempest explained his purpose: “To help raise awareness about malaria I designed a structured dress which incorporates layers of a malaria net in panels. Kate looks amazing in the dress and I hope its auction will raise lots of money and bring awareness to such a great cause.”
The campaign hopes to drive donations for new nets, impregnated with mosquito repellent. You can find out more about the dress, and where it will be finally auctioned, on the Sport Relief site.
