Forget those chancers and wannabes on The Apprentice, here at Global Cool we’re celebrating some real entrepreneurial heroes. People who are helping you lead a greener lifestyle and whose business skills extend beyond some management jargon they read in a self-help book, starting today with Goodone…

With autumn knocking on our doors and Uncle Chilly down the street, ’tis time to shake the dust off our winter wardrobes. If, however, you discover that a family of moths have been feasting on your old jumper throughout the summer (and a re-stock rather than a re-vamp is in order); look no further than Goodone, an award-winning sustainable fashion company.
Goodone was founded by Nin Castle, whose innovative recycled clothing is widely admired, with brands such as Tesco and Topshop buying in stocks of her beautiful designs. We went to her workshop to find out how Nin combines old materials with new British knits, in order to create a production model that paves the way for other clothes companies to follow…
Take a peek at Nin’s bustling, quirky workshop in East London, and check out her new Autumn collection below…

So glad you’re showcasing Nin Castle and Goodone: her line is amazing and what she is doing – using recycled knitwear – is so commendable.
I’ve been doing a fashion photographic series promoting her work – via Topshp: shooting regular girls – friends – on the street, in her clothes. It’s an on-going series, more posts will be up in the next week or two:

Thanks for sharing the photos Jill. We’ll be featuring loads of other great green companies to coincide with the Apprentice over the next few weeks. If you know any other green companies you think we should cover let us know.
