Described as ‘Easy Rider meets Das Kapital’ by The Times, this book is a roaring ride packed with adventure and incredible stories from start to finish.
The Motorcycle Diaries by Marxist revolutionary (and hero to students everywhere) Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara follows two young men as they embark on a trip from Buenos Aires to explore South America on the back of a motorcyle.
It’s set in 1952 (before Che’s involvement in the Cuban Revolution) and is full of tantilising tales and unbelievable truths.
As he makes his way from Argentina and Chile through Peru and onto Venezuela, Che worries mostly about where to get his next drink and where he can pick up girls (a far cry from the drama of his future as an older man).
Yes, they did make it into a movie and it did win an Oscar or two, but nothing quite beats letting your mind picture the extraordinary events of this enthralling tale.
THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED – THANKS FOR ALL THE ENTRIES AND WELL DONE TO DAVE EDWARDS, WHOSE ANSWER WAS CHOSEN AT RANDOM TO WIN THE PRIZE

Here comes the science bit…
GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…
/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/ Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
