Earth Day

This years Earth Day came along on the 22nd and it seemed the whole internet lit up with talk of the environment, green issues and our planet in general. Just by visiting hashtags.org and looking at the #earthday twitter tag you could, and still can, see the huge amounts of people talking about the day, the pledges they made, the green acts they did and the awareness they tried to raise about the environment.

It’s great, the whole social media, blogosphere, twittersphere, web2.0, etc, arena, this diverse and ever expanding community of people, it makes being greener so much easier. It really made us smile in the Global Cool offices to see the sheer amount of people that were blogging about the day, the cause and being green!

Everyone from bloggers like Sylwia at her personal blog, saying she’s simply going to start eating better and growing her own veggies, through to some awesome sculptures of the planet earth from all over the globe, there’s just so much to see and appreciate. It’s been truly inspiring looking at what people around the world are doing.
