Want to save the World?

on in Lifestyle

No, not a thing of fantasy, you don’t have to be a caped crusader, you don’t have to be a governmental head figure or some sort of super-human-ninja-pirate, you just have to be you, and play your part.

We’ve been working away on our own projects, that you’ve hopefully seen over the last few weeks, which bring together fun and environmentally friendly actions. Our swish was a great success, most recently and has hopefully encouraged a few of you to hold your own swishing events to get swapping your unused clothing items.

One article that we saw recently that we thought was an interesting look at climate change was the Independent’s ‘Ten ways to save the world’. They point out that climate change news this week has been pretty bad, global warming is on the up according to scientists in Copenhagen, polar ice caps are melting, seas are rising more rapidly than originally thought and the Amazon rain forest is in serious trouble. We all try to do our bit, but what are the new different ways that people are looking into to save the planet? Well, the list goes through ten of them, from the ‘smart electric grid’ to ‘growing houses’.

Jump over and have a look, and why don’t you let us know what you’re doing to help and any other interesting pieces you’ve seen that take a different look at saving the planet, the more the better! And don’t forget our own action points that we’ve put together that can help you save money whilst also helping the environment.
