Any Sherlock Holmes fans out there will want to read on… The House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz is the newest Holmes novel and it’s certainly a page tuner!
The book is set in the late 1800s during a brutally cold winter. Holmes and Watson are having a fireside cuppa when a troubled man arrives unannounced at Baker Street.
The stranger pleads with Holmes to help him, sharing his unnerving story of a scar-faced man with piercing eyes who has been stalking him.
Holmes and Watson soon find themselves quickly pulled into into a series of bizarre and twisted events, leading them to one whispered phrase “the House of Silk”: a mysterious entity and foe more deadly than any Holmes has encountered before.
The crime solving due must unravel a conspiracy unlike any they’ve faced before it’s too late.
If you fancy bulking up your book collection and getting a free copy courtesy of Waterstones, you’re in for a treat…
