Whilst Bauhaus theories of unifying design, art and technology have never really ‘gone out of fashion’ so to speak, it’s rare that you see something so well done, that it just jumps out of your screen and shouts at you.
Well, over at Dieline, the self proclaimed world’s number one packaging design website, they recently featured the amazing, ‘boxed water is better’ project.
The image below show’s exactly what I mean, it’s beautiful design and perfect implementation, not only looks great, but is also brilliant for the environment.
Their statement is simple, boxed water is better for the earth, and is completely true, the information on their site reads;
“About 90% of the Boxed Water container is made from a renewable resource, trees, that when harvested in a responsible, managed, and ethical way serve as an amazing renewable resource that benefits the environment even as it’s renewed….”
And continues with more information about how bottled water is so much better for the earth than the conventional bottled water. We thought this was an amazing idea, and considering it looks so great, it might actually pull people into making the right choice over and over again.
We love the idea that when design and functionality come together, not only does something look awesome, but it’s more than likely better for the environment as well. Have you seen or heard of anything similar? Let us know or discuss more on our boards!
