Meat consumption is a constant concern for environmentalists, but if you can’t imagine cutting out your Maccy D’s, don’t panic – very soon we’ll be able to grow our own meat…
Dutch scientists have claimed that they are around one year away from developing the world’s first hamburger grown from a test-tuber. The meat will grow in a lab from the stem cells of a cow, before being made into patties. One of the team working on the bionic burger told The Daily Mail:
“When we are eating a hamburger we don’t think, ‘I’m eating a dead cow’. And when people are already far from what they eat, it’s not too hard to see them accepting cultured meat.” Even so, we think we’ll let them take the first bite!

NO! I would not eat a test-tube hamburger.
I understand that half of what we eat it artificial, and although this might seem like a utopia, I am trying to move away from this and aiming to live self-sufficient in a sustainable manner (one step at a time), and I do not impose my views on others either.
I am also reducing my meat content and to be frank, I would happily be strictly vegetarian ~(or even vegan) than eat test-tube meat!
Definitely agree that going veggie is a better solution to the problem – well said!
