Art Of Swishing

Swishing? A swish? A swisher? The swisherati? The swishset?! Just what are we on about?! Well, it’s a little thing that could have a big impact, it’s fun and productive and could possibly get you a new wardrobe as well as help the environment.

It’s called swishing, and it rocks!

Swishing happens when a group of people get together with clothes they’ve either never worn or lost interest in. You know, that pair of jeans that seemed to fit well in the store’s mirror, but at home it’s a different story. The little black dress whose potential spectator cancelled at the last minute. These people get together with their unwanted clothes with the aim of giving them a new home, and also hoping to fill their new closet space with a few pieces that someone else wants to pass on.

The Harry Potter premiere last week marked the end of an era for J.K Rowling. We’ve loved watching the stars grow up, with Emma Watson being a Global Cool favourite and Daniel Radcliffe choosing an eco-friendly car. Why I went to war with my wardrobe

I’ve always been one for sartorial impulse buys, as my 10-foot wide behemoth of a wardrobe will attest, but not anymore thanks to bigwardrobe.com … I read somewhere that most people only wear 20 percent of their clothes 80 percent of the time. My stats are probably nearer 10/90. Country shirts, dark jeans and a [...]
