If you’re going away on Traincation this year and want to get to know the locals a little bit more, order your food in the language or you just want to know how to say please and thank you, Coolgorilla’s Talking Phrasebook app will be right up your street (or rue, or calle, or strada etc etc etc).

There are phrasebooks available for several different European languages, including French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Dutch and Greek. So wherever you travel on Traincation, you’ll be able to exchange some conversation with the locals.

Each phrasebook contains 500 words and phrases within 40 different categories including accommodation, eating and how to find the best beaches. You’re given the basics of each language in both text and audio, which will help with your pronunciation.

One of the best aspects of this app is that once you’ve downloaded it, you don’t need to connect to the internet to use it, saving you loads of money on roaming costs when you try and connect to the internet abroad.

This is a great app to help you strike up a conversation when you go on Traincation and could help you meet some really interesting people.
