Christmas is just around the corner, so we’re bringing you the best festive Traincations each week to get you in the mood…
What’s all the fuss?
Forget Hyde Park, why not try a winter wonderland with a twist? Brussels hosts one of the most impressive in Europe, and you can also get some of your Christmas shopping done too. Explore all the beautifully decorated stalls at the Christmas market, or have a go at a bit of winter sledding. Enjoy an array of energetic music and yummy food stalls to really get you in the festive mood. There’s also a great ice rink, some impressive ice sculptures and a ferris wheel to take in all the sights of the city. Don’t miss the Brussels Winter Wonderland Electrable Nights display – a fantastic light show and visual display at the Grand Place (pictured).
Getting thereMake the most of the easy Eurostar connection to Brussels, which takes under two hours from London. Start your holiday early by arriving at London St Pancras a few hours before your train and checking out the desVins cafe and bar (pictured). Open daily from 7.30am, desVins is a vibrant venue, with free wireless internet access, charismatic bar tenders, a big wine list and a delicious continental food menu. And more importantly, every hour after 8pm is happy hour!

Brussels is definitely one of the most beautiful city especially during the Holiday Seasons. Coming from France, it has been a true annual family destination for Christmas for many years!
