Because great holidays don’t have to cost the Earth…

Are you wanting to get away from the Olympics hype that has taken over the country? Well Haldern Pop Festival might just be exactly what you’re looking for…
What’s all the fuss?
Haldern Pop is the most renowned and established festival in Europe, and takes place August 9-11. The Haldern Pop brand stands for quality, independence, experimentation and, of course, good music!
The genre is a mixture of electronic, folk, pop and rock, meaning you’re in for a real auditory treat. The organisers and investors have worked hard to pull in some of the best acts, and an incredible atmosphere. So as you can guess the line up this year is pretty impressive: The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, Iceage and Here We Go Magic to name just a few.
There are also supermarkets and shops within walking distance of the festival (to stock up on snacks and ciders), and you can fins out more information by checking the website.
The journey to the festival is quite an adventure in itself! First hop on the high-speed Eurostar train from London to Brussels, and then from catch the uber-quick Thalys train to Cologne. When in Cologne there are frequent regional trains linking you to Dusseldorf and then it’s nice and easy to catch the regional express train to the festival doors, ready to party on!
