Ever fancied visiting a castle on an island? Well Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, France will be right up your street. This stunning leafy island is located less than a mill off the country’s northwestern coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River. At only 247 acres in size, and with a population of less than 50 people, this is an adventure you won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
Learning the language
“Bearing in mind I haven’t tried my hand at French since I was a pre-pubescent teenager trying not to get caught passing notes in French class, I was a little concerned about embarking on this course. However so far I’ve found it so easy to use and have come to the conclusion that I am perhaps secretly a French national who was snatched at birth (just kidding, Mum).
Seriously though, the combination of easy to follow instructions and the fact it is pretty impossible to cheat my way through it has made me actually pick up a chunk of French words and phrases that have actually stuck in my brain! En avant et en montant!” - Emily
