This month we’re giving away two Eurostar tickets for the ultimate shopping Traincation. To coincide with this competition, we thought we’d make some Paris guides to get you in the mood. This week we bring you our top spots to fill your belly…
On a budget
Le Relais de l’Isle in Paris has been voted one of the best restaurants around by several travel websites. Despite its tiny size (it only holds 10 tables), there is still room for a jazz pianist and plenty of atmosphere. This quaint restaurant doesn’t scrimp on quality of food or service either, and is great value for money. Make sure you book in advance as it fills up very quickly!
SplurgeLet master chef Alain Passard spoil you at Arpège restaurant. The decor is a great mix of modern and retro pieces, with a traditional French twist. All the food is locally produced, and the proof is in the taste. This restaurant is definitely at the higher end of the price scale (around €300 for a meal for two), but really is worth splurging on.
Something differentIf you want to try something a bit different then dine at Au Petit Sud Ouest. This restaurant specialises in duck, so if you’re not a duck fan then this is not for you. The foie gras (pictured) is delicious, and you can toast your own slices of bread with a personal toaster.
